Stonington Little League Team Raising Funds For Regional Tournament
The team is looking to help offset the cost of lodging, meals and transportation for these families.
STONINGTON, CT — A Stonington baseball team will represent the town at the Eastern Regional tournament in Bangor, Maine next week.
The Stonington Little League Senior Baseball team is pursuing a championship run at this year’s World Series. The team will compete against the best talent across the region and have their eye on the trophy.
The team's GoFundMe page reads: "The Stonington Little League Senior Baseball team recently won their 3rd straight title, qualifying for the Eastern Regional tournament in Bangor, Maine.

"Despite winning state titles in 2020 and 2021, the Regional tournament was canceled due the covid-19 pandemic.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for these players who reside in the Stonington, Pawcatuck and North Stonington communities.

"We are looking to help offset the cost of lodging, meals and transportation for these families.

As of Friday morning, the team had raised more than $4,000 with a $12,000 goal.
