Sarah Gosselin is an 18-year old senior at Stonington High, and Tuesday afternoon she cast her first ballot ever.
"I want to make a difference," she said of voting for the first time at the Hoxie firehouse.
Turnout for the the 4th and 5th districts was 275 at 1 p.m., said moderator Joan Balestracci. The two districts have 3,803 total registered voters.
Polls are open until 8 p.m.
