Stonington Municipal Meetings

Monday: Waterfront Comm. meets at 6 p.m. at the Town Dock; Old Mystic Fire Dept. Bd. of Directors meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Mystic Fire Station; the Stonington Harbor Mgmt. Comm. meets at 7 p.m. at the police station; the Old Mystic Fire Dept. regular membership meets at 7:30 at the Old Mystic Fire Station.

Tuesday:  the Housing Authority meets at 4 p.m.; Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 7 p.m. at the police station.

Wednesday: Bd. of Selectman meets at 7 p.m. at the police station; K-12 Bldg. Committee (Special Meeting) is at 7 p.m. at Stonington High School Commons.

Thursday: Bd. of Police Commissioners meets at 5 p.m. at the police station; the Bd. of Education meets at 7 p.m. at Stonington High School Commons; Economic Dev. Comm. Meets at 7 p.m. in the Human Services Building on South Broad Street; Old Mystic Fire District Bd. of Directors meets at 7:30 p.m. at 295 Cow Hill Road.

Saturday: Bd. of Assessment Appeals (Special Meeting) is at 9 a.m. in the Town Hall Assessor’s Office.

Just for Fun

Monday: Mystic and Noank Library story times are back! Scheduled to meet weekly Mondays through Fridays, classes consist of stories, finger-plays, crafts, and songs. Due to demand registration is required and class size is limited. Registration will take place in the Children's Room of the library this week.

Tuesday: There is also a drop in story time at the Stonington Free Library babies-2 years old will enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, and a chance to meet and play with other kids! Children ages 3-6 will enjoy stories, songs, finger plays, and a craft time!

Wednesday: There will be a presentation at the Mystic Seaport tonight titled “Changes in the Sound: A Look at the Past, Present, and Future of the Mystic River”. CUSH invites members, friends and the public to the event, tickets are $40 and include hors d’oeuvres, complimentary drink, and cash bar.

Thursday: Cub Scout Pack 34 will be hosting a Scout Joining Night for boys 6 - 10 years old at the S. B. Butler School tonight at 6.

Friday: There’s a huge tag and bake sale at the First United Methodist Church on Willow Street that starts at 6 p.m.
