Technicians In Training
Newly-certified technicians will be installing car seats Thursday.
Personnel from a variety of emergency and medical fields are taking a 32-hour certification course held by Safe Kids at the Gales Ferry Fire Department. The course will teach participants how to properly install a car seat, which is a skill that continues to adapt and evolve accordign to the changing laws and features of the seats and cars, according to course leader Esther Pandora.
The newly certified technicians will be on hand at an installation clinic at L&M Hospital Thursday from 1 p.m to 3 p.m. The public is invited to call 860-442-0733 to make an appointment.
