STONINGTON, CT — The Town of Stonington is excited to announce the launch of a new service, Stonington Community Cares, in partnership with URCommunity Cares of Manchester. This program aims to provide non-professional assistance to elderly residents (aged 70 or older) and those with disabilities (temporary or permanent).

Whether you are a retiree with some free time, a high school student seeking community service hours, or a local business looking to give back, we need your support to make this initiative a success.

Interested volunteers and those in need of services can register at URCOMMUNITYCARES.ORG under the programs tab entitled neighbors helping neighbors. If you lack internet access or need assistance, please call Stonington Human Services at 860-535-5015.

The Commission on Aging will also be hosting a community meeting on March 19, 2025 at the Stonington Police Department at 5PM to share more information about the program.
