Town Of Stonington Releases Veterans Day 2024 Information

STONINGTON, CT — Veterans Day is observed every year on November 11 and is a way to thank and honor our nation’s Veterans, and their families, for their service and sacrifice.

The Westerly-Pawcatuck Veterans Day parade will take place on Saturday, November 9 at 9:30 am. The parade will begin at the Pawcatuck Shopping Center, and will travel down Route 234 to West Broad Street, then into Westerly via High Street, and end at the Westerly Armory. The parade will conclude with a ceremony at the Westerly Armory.

On Monday, November 11th all Town Departments will be close in observance, including the Stonington Transfer Station. Please note, our curbside pick-up schedule will not be impacted.
