Local Students Earn Degrees from University of Rhode Island

At the University of Rhode Island's 127th Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, 2013, more than 3,200 undergraduate and 770 graduate students became the University's newest alumni.

Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA ) of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.

The following residents were among the students who received their undergraduate or graduate degrees. Note that many students have received multiple degrees:

Christina B. Galetta of Stonington received a BA in Psychology with a Minor in Justice Law and Society cum laude

Grace M. Vandal of Mystic received a MBA in Business Administration

Joel R. Hardink of Mystic received a MBA in Business Administration

Mark Andrew Hardink of Mystic received a MBA in Business Administration

Jonathan WB Grant of Stonington received a MS in Computer Science

Stephanie Leah Dolph of Mystic received a MS in Medical Laboratory Science
