Water System Maintenance For Some Stonington Neighborhoods Next Week

STONINGTON, CT — The Westerly Water Department is warning residents of Pawcatuck their water may be affected by work on the pipes next week.

As part of their regular maintenance program, the utility will start flushing water mains daily from Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00pm. Pawcatuck residents can expect flushing to begin on May 13 and continue throughout the week.

The Water Department is warning those affected to use caution while using their water, which may stain clothing and fixtures. The condition will be temporary, according to a post on the Town's Instagram page, clearing a short time after the water runs.
