Work To Begin Shortly On Stonington Bridges
$3.17 million project would be done in May 2013.

Work will begin shortly on construction of two bridges on Route 1 in Stonington, Sen. Andrew Maynard’s office said Friday.
The bridges were built in 1939. One runs over Stony Brook and the other extends over part of Quanaduck Cove.
“Work on these projects will support 63 local construction jobs, and when the bridges are completed, Route 1 will be a much safer road,” Maynard said in a prepared statement.
