1 Arrested, Items Seized After Raid On Smoke Shop In Stratford: Police
A man was arrested and more than 38 ounces of marijuana and THC products were seized after a raid on a smoke shop, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — A man was arrested and more than 38 ounces of marijuana and THC products were seized after a raid on a smoke shop in Stratford on Tuesday, according to police.
The Stratford Police Department's Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit began conducting surveillance in May of “ongoing narcotics dealing within the Success Avenue corridor,” according to Capt. Jerry Pinto.
While conducting surveillance, Pinto said detectives saw what appeared to be “street level narcotics trafficking” taking place at the Whyte Widow Smoke Shop at 564 Success Avenue.

Detectives used a confidential informant to conduct several controlled buys of cannabis from inside the Whyte Widow Smoke Shop, according to Pinto.
Pinto said a search warrant was obtained on June 30 for the Whyte Widow Smoke Shop and executed on Tuesday morning.

Eaton Rose, 45, was arrested and charged with illegal possession with intent to sell more than 1kg of cannabis, illegal operation of a drug factory and illegal possession of a controlled substance. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of July 22.
“The total weight of the non-raw cannabis evidence seized, to include gummies, drinks, vapes and pre rolls weighed 8.73 ounces,” Pinto wrote in a news release. “The total weight of the raw marijuana seized weighed 838.1 grams/29.56 ounces.”
Pinto said the total marijuana / THC seized weighed 38.29 ounces, or 1.08 kilograms.
