1 Killed, 2 Injured After Being Ejected In Route 15 Crash: PD

BREAKING: An Infiniti rolled over, ejecting all three occupants, in a two-car crash early Sunday morning, police say.

STRATFORD, CT — One person was killed and two others seriously injured in a two-car crash on Route 15 in Stratford early Sunday morning, Connecticut State Police said.

According to police, a Mercedes Benz and an Infiniti JX35 were were traveling on Route 15 south, north of exit 52 in Stratford. The Mercedes was in the left lane and the Infiniti was in the right lane when the two cars made contact, police said.

The contact led the Mercedes to to strike a wooden beam guardrail on the median and it came to rest in the right lane, police said. The Infiniti struck the wooden beam guardrail on the right shoulder, rolling over and ejecting all three people inside, police said.

The occupants of the Infiniti were taken local hospitals and one of the passengers were killed and the two others were seriously injured. Police identified the victim who died as Jordan A Soares, 27, of Bridgeport.

The three occupants of the Mercedes were not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
