Stratford Schools To Hold Early Childhood & Kindergarten Discovery Night: What To Know

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford Public Schools, in collaboration with the Early Childhood Collaborative of Stratford, will hold the 2026–2027 Early Childhood & Kindergarten Discovery Night on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 6 p.m. in the Stratford High School Auditorium at 45 North Parade (near Town Hall) in Stratford.

The snow date is Wednesday, Feb. 18.

The free event is open to all Stratford families with young children up to 5 years old and those entering kindergarten in September 2026.

“The purpose of Discovery Night is to provide families with essential information about early childhood resources, preschool, and kindergarten opportunities for the upcoming school year,” according to a news release.

Attendees will have the chance to learn about:

○ Preschool Programs, Schools & Providers

○ Early Childhood and Preschool Q&A

● Stratford Public Schools Kindergarten Information:

○ Registration Process

○ Dual Language Program

○ A Typical Kindergarten Day

In addition, Early Childhood & Kindergarten Discovery Night will feature numerous community agencies available to answer questions related to childcare, transportation, school meals, and other services that support school readiness and family needs.

Families are encouraged to explore resource stations, engage with school staff and community organizations, and gather the information they need to support a smooth transition into kindergarten.
