Stratford Man Charged With Shoplifting, Heroin Possession at Milford Walmart

A Stratford and a Bridgeport man allegedly shoplifted and further investigation led to discovery of narcotics, police say.

Brandon Henderson, 26, of 9 Home St. in Stratford, and Danny Singer, 25, of 425 Grant St. in Bridgeport, are accused of allegedly taking approximately $115 worth of merchandise without paying for it on Oct. 14 at Walmart, police said.

Upon further investigation, Henderson and Singer were found to allegedly be in possession of heroin, and Singer attempted to flee, police said.

Henderson is charged with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Singer is charged with second-degree breach of peace, sixth-degree larceny, sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, possession of narcotics and resisting arrest.

Henderson and Singer are scheduled to appear in Superior Court, Milford on Nov. 10.
