HAMDEN, CT — A winning scratch ticket worth $250,000 was recently sold in Hamden, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

A Hamden resident won $250,000 on a $250,000 CA$HWORD scratch ticket that was sold at Snack Plus II at 75 Putnam Ave. in Hamden, according to lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
