4 Arrested In ‘Illegal Street Takeover’ In Stratford: Police
Police said several hundred vehicles were involved in the illegal street takeover.
STRATFORD, CT — Four people have been arrested in connection with an “illegal street takeover” that took place early Sunday morning in Stratford, according to police.
Just after midnight on Sept. 29, patrol officers responded to the entrance of the shopping center at 200 East Main Street on report of an illegal street takeover, according to Capt. Jerry Pinto.
Pinto said patrol units arrived at the scene to find “several hundred vehicles and a fully involved illegal street takeover in progress.”

In the process of dispersing the large gathering of vehicles and pedestrian observers, Pinto said patrol officers arrested four people involved in the illegal street takeover.
Carlos Sanchez Hernandez, 20, was charged with breach of peace. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of Oct. 16.

Mailin Perez, 19, was charged with breach of peace, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. She was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of Oct. 16.
Rodney Gist, 25, was charged with breach of peace. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of Oct. 16.
Tyler Ranger, 26, was charged with breach of peace. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of Oct. 16.
Pinto said patrol officers also towed two vehicles from the scene that had been involved in the illegal street takeover.
