STRATFORD, CT — Fifteen men have been arrested in connection with a prostitution sting at motels in Stratford, according to police.

The Stratford Police Department’s Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit conducted prostitution sting operations at different local motels during February and March, according to Capt. Jerry Pinto.

Pinto said the impetus for the investigations was the armed robbery of a man trying to patronize prostitution at a local motel in 2024.

“Intelligence gained during this investigation by the NVI Unit showed that patronizing prostitution was prevalent at the motels located within Stratford,” Pinto wrote in a news release. “The success of the February and March 2025 prostitution sting operations revealed that the intelligence obtained by the NVI Unit in 2024 was credible.”
