Boyfriend Accused Of Shooting At Girlfriend’s Ex 10 Times In Stratford: PD

No injuries were reported, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — A man is accused of firing a gun at his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend 10 times during an argument in July.

Both men share young children with the same 26-year-old woman, according to police.

Joseph Gray was arrested on a warrant Friday and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, and illegal discharge of a firearm.

The ex-boyfriend was not injured in the gunfire.

Gray was held on $225,000 bond over the weekend, and he is due to be arraigned in Superior Court today.

Police Captain Jerry Pinto said the incident happened on July 25, when police responded to 143 Oakland Place for a report of gunshots.

“The investigation determined that a verbal argument between a current boyfriend and an ex-boyfriend escalated to the current boyfriend firing 10 gunshots at the ex-boyfriend,” police said, in an announcement.

Police arrested Gray at an address on Newfield Avenue in Bridgeport.
