Christmas Tree Collection Schedule Announced In Stratford

The town's Christmas tree pickup starts soon.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford’s Christmas tree collection will begin Monday, Jan. 8 and end Feb. 9, according to officials.

Officials said only live Christmas trees will be picked up. Residents are reminded to remove all decorations, lights, tinsel and ornaments.

“Please do not put trees in plastic bags for pickup,” officials wrote in a news release.

Residents are advised to put the tree in the planting strip where it can be seen and picked up easily.

“The Parks division will split up into teams to canvas neighborhoods for pick up,” officials wrote.
