Convicted Felon Violated Protective Order, Found With Gun: Stratford PD
A convicted felon accused of violating a protective order was found to be in the illegal possession of a gun, according to police.
STRATFORD, CT — A convicted felon accused of violating a protective order was found to be in the illegal possession of a gun at a bar in Orange, according to Stratford police.
Stratford police obtained an arrest warrant for 29-year-old Mark Febres in connection with a domestic violence incident on April 20, according to Capt. Jerry Pinto.
Febres is accused of assaulting and harassing the victim on prior occasions, and Pinto said the Bridgeport State’s Attorney’s Office recently issued a full no-contact protective order against Febres.

Pinto said Febres is a convicted felon who has been arrested in the past for carrying a firearm.
A Stratford police detective developed intelligence that Febres may be inside a bar in Orange on April 23, according to Pinto.

Pinto said Stratford police conducted surveillance at the bar, and saw Febres leaving the business. They confronted him in the parking lot and took him into custody, according to Pinto.
Febres was found to be in illegal possession of a Glock 43X firearm, Pinto said.
Febres was taken to the Stratford Police Department and charged with criminal violation of a protective order, first-degree harassment, and second-degree stalking. He was being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond with a court date of May 1, according to state judicial records.
Pinto said the Orange Police Department took custody of the Glock 43X firearm and have secured another arrest warrant for Febres.
He is expected to be charged by Orange police with criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, and two counts of criminal violation of a restraining order, according to Pinto.
