What does this person teach?

Math at Stratford High School

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Because not only does he know how to win on the field, but he’s also been tackling the real challenge—getting teenagers to care about algebra. Some might say teaching football is tough, but have you ever tried explaining the quadratic formula to a room full of students who’d rather be checking their phones? Exactly. Coach Dell has got that rare gift of making math and football work in perfect harmony. Need to calculate the trajectory of a perfect spiral? Coach can break that down using good old geometry. Struggling with word problems? Try this: “If Johnny can bench press 200 pounds and runs a 4.6 forty, how many touchdowns will he score this season?” Boom—math made relevant! And while some teachers make you solve for X, Coach makes you solve for X *and* figure out how to block that blitzing linebacker. His classroom is where the Pythagorean theorem meets the playbook, and no one’s better at teaching how to find both the hypotenuse and the end zone. So, let’s be honest—Coach DellaVecchia isn’t just a teacher. He’s an *institution*. You don’t just learn math in his class, you learn life lessons with a side of championship rings. Now that’s something worth spotlighting!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Coach DellaVecchia once solved a math problem so fast, even Chuck Norris had to take notes.
