House Republican Candidate Laura Dancho Nominated By Independent Party
By securing this nomination, Dancho's name will be present twice on the General Election ballot.

On September 6, the Independent Party of Connecticut officially nominated House Republican Candidate Laura Dancho, who is seeks Stratord’s 120th House District seat this fall. Aside from the unified nomination received by the Stratford Republican Town Committee (RTC) earlier, Dancho’s name will appear twice on this November’s ballot under both the Republican and Independent Party columns.

“I am grateful for being recognized by the Independent Party as the candidate who can better prioritize our concerns in Stratford,” said Dancho in response to the nomination. “My goal in this campaign is simple: provide a middle-of-the-road, honest representation of who we are in Stratford and make the state legislature more tangible to families and residents in our community. This nomination serves as a direct acknowledgement of my commitment to this goal.”
Each fall, the Independent Party, also known as the “CTIndies,” has commonly announced nominations in between the months of August and September. This year, the deadline for announcing nominations was September 6, giving the party time to consider candidates for races all over Connecticut.

“The CT Independent Party and I share an important mission: ‘people over politics'” Dancho added. “I have lived in Stratford my whole life, currently serve on the Town Council, volunteered as a PTA parent, and have always promoted the benefits of our parks and beautiful shoreline. Serving Stratford is second nature and I look forward to expanding this commitment to truth and service in Hartford.”
