Interim Deputy Police Chief Appointed In Stratford

Mayor Laura Hoydick announced the appointment on Monday.

STRATFORD, CT — Police Capt. Anthony Rhew has been appointed as Interim Deputy Police Chief for the Stratford Police Department, Mayor Laura R. Hoydick announced Monday.

Officials said Rhew assumes the role effective immediately, following the appointment of former Deputy Police Chief Paul DosSantos as Acting Police Chief.

“I look forward to working with Interim Deputy Chief Rhew as we enter this transition period and I am confident we will serve Stratford well,” Acting Police Chief Paul DosSantos said in a news release.

Hoydick said Rhew has “consistently shown exceptional leadership and dedication to the safety and well-being of our community throughout his years of service.”

“His experience, professionalism, and commitment to our community is invaluable as he steps into the position of Interim Deputy Police Chief,” Hoydick said. “I look forward to his continued contributions to the department during this period of transition.”
