Joseph L. Romano

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather

Joseph L. Romano, 85, of Stratford passed away in the loving presence of his family on November 20, 2025 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was born June 2, 1940 in Bridgeport to the late Louis
and Santa Romano. Joe was the devoted husband of more than 60 years to his late wife Janet Romano.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Tool and Die Maker by trade. Despite Joe being disabled at a young age, he tried to remain positive,reminding people "It's a beautiful day" and to keep on "beatingthe system".

He spent his last few months enjoying time spent with his great grand children: Anthony, Rosalia, Maxwell, Niccolo, and Molly.

Joe will be sadly missed by his children: Jennifer Kondor and her husband Chuck of Stratford, Gina Connor of Shelton, and Maria Rose Romano, his grandchildren: Michael (Kelly), Stephanie (Anthony), Dylan, Melanie (Jon), Dominic (Ashley), Deliah, and Emma. In addition to his wife Janet, he was also predeceased by his son, Troy Romano.
