Alec Voccola: Economy Fuel is a full-service heating oil company with no contracts, flexible payment plans, 24/7 emergency service and our Heating Oil Buyers Club takes 30 cents off the retail price all year.

Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Alec Voccola: We’ve been serving Fairfield and New Haven counties since 1965.
Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Alec Voccola: I was working for a refuse company that had just started a new line of business delivering home heating oil and enjoyed the challenge of building the customer base from the ground up. I have years of experience in consumer services and the energy sector was always an area of interest for me.

Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Alec Voccola: Always look for transparency and don’t fall for any gimmicks; if it seems too good to be true, it usually is. Look for a reputable company with a history of serving customers and exceeding their expectations to ensure you and your home will be taken care of all year long.
Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Alec Voccola: Creating relationships with our customers and using our team to resolve any issues that arise. Being able to offer a solution when a customer is without heat or air conditioning and getting them comfortable in their home is rewarding.
Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Alec Voccola: We take pride in our brand and the communities we serve. When you call our office, you get a real local person on the other end who genuinely cares about meeting each customer’s needs. Many members of the Economy team are on a first-name basis with our customers and really enjoy working with them.
