Man Arrested After Fentanyl, $9K Seized From Home: Stratford Police
A convicted felon was arrested after police said fentanyl and more than $9,000 in cash were seized from a home in Stratford.

STRATFORD, CT — A convicted felon was arrested Thursday after police seized several grams of suspected fentanyl and more than $9,000 in cash from a home in Stratford, according to officials.
The Stratford Police Department’s Narcotics, Vice & Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Catherine Street after a several months long investigation, according to Capt. Jerry Pinto.
“The Norwalk Special Services Division, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, the DEA Task Force, the Bridgeport Police Task Force and the Bridgeport States Attorney’s Office, all participated and contributed to the successful conclusion of today’s search warrant execution,” Pinto wrote in a news release.

Pinto said several grams of suspected fentanyl was seized along with approximately $9,079 cash.
Omar Reid, 31, was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell.

Reid, who Pinto said is a convicted felon, was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 18.
