Man Hospitalized After Shooting In Stratford: Police
Police said several "persons of interest" were detained based on a motor vehicle stop that was conducted near the scene of the shooting.
STRATFORD, CT — A man was hospitalized after being shot in the leg Saturday night in Stratford, according to police.
Police responded to Garibaldi Avenue around 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 30 on the report of gunshots, according to Capt. Jerry Pinto.
Pinto said the officers were also advised that a man had been struck by gunfire.

Arriving officers found two .40 caliber shell casings in the 200 block of Garibaldi Avenue, according to Pinto.
Pinto said a 30-year-old man was also found walking on Honeyspot Road with a gunshot wound to his left leg.

The officers detained several “persons of interest” based on a motor vehicle stop that was conducted near the scene of the shooting, according to Pinto.
The 30-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to Pinto.
Pinto said the man was refusing to cooperate with the detective investigating the incident.
No gun was found, according to Pinto.
