Nancy Joan (Hart) Carlson, wife of the late Carl Carlson, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025 with her family at her side. She was the daughter of the late Frederick S. and Muriel (Murray) Hart.

Nancy lived most of her life along the water in Woodmont, Connecticut, graduating from Milford High School and raising her daughter with her first husband John T. Lane Jr. She worked at both Wayside furniture stores and Macy's in their rug departments. She spent her free time reading, crafting, exercising at the YMCA with friends and watching the UConn women's basketball games. However, her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her two beloved grandchildren, Evan and Ella Tibbals.

In addition to her grandchildren, she is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Lane) Tibbals and her son-in-law, Craig Tibbals of Stratford, her two brothers Gilbert and Frederick Hart, a niece Tammy and nephews, Matthew, Garrett and Dean Hart. She also leaves behind her loving companion, Paul Edwards of Milford, CT

A graveside service will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11am in Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella Grasso Blvd. in New Haven, CT (meet directly at the cemetery). In lieu of gifts memorial contributions may be made to Saint Judes Children's Research Hospital.
