Norman dedicated over 20 years of skilled work to Stop and Go Transmissions, where he built a reputation as a hardworking mechanic.

Norman T. Ruszkowski “Stormin Norman”, 57, of Milford, passed away on July 10, 2025. Born on March 29, 1968 in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of Rosanne (nee Stokes) (John) Ruszkowski and the late Gregory Vatert, Sr.

Norman will be remembered as a vibrant soul whose passion for life was as strong as the roar of his beloved Harley-Davidson. A proud graduate of the automotive department at Platt Tech High School, Norman dedicated over 20 years of skilled work to Stop and Go Transmissions, where he built a reputation as a trusted and hardworking mechanic. His deep love for animals—no matter their size—was matched only by his devotion to family, which always came first in his heart. Boisterous and full of life, Norman's infectious laugh could light up any room and bring joy to those around him. Gracious, kind, and deeply rooted in what truly mattered, Norman leaves behind a legacy of warmth, loyalty, and unforgettable energy.
Norman is survived by his children, Ashley Ruszkowski, David Scalzi, Jr., Aiden Ruszkowski, and Maya Ruszkowski; wife, Christine Ruszkowski; grandchild, Sawyer; siblings, Gregory Vatert, Jr., Christopher Ruszkowski, John D. (Cathy) Ruszkowski, and Benjamin Ruszkowski; and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his father, Norman was predeceased by his sister Jocelyn Ruszkowski.

Friends and family may call from 11am to 2pm on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT. Interment will be private.
