Obituary: Beatrice (Flores) Corsino, 92, of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Beatrice (Flores) Corsino, age 92 of Stratford, entered into Heaven on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Lord Chamberlain, Stratford.

She was widowed by her husband of 27 years in 1980, Andrew V. Corsino.

Beatrice was born in Brownsville, TX to the late Ramon and Viviana (Vasquez) Flores.

Beatrice was a hairdresser for over 30 years at Salon D’Elegance of Stratford and retired from the salon on her 80th birthday.

Along with her haircutting talents, she was skilled in knitting and crocheting, and enjoyed calling bingo numbers. Beatrice was an active member at both St. Ambrose and Our Lady of Grace parishes, and she traveled to Europe several times with various church groups.

Perhaps her most important role in life was being a grandmother and great grandmother. She was the matriarch of the family and had a big part in raising her grandchildren.

They will forever remember their Nana for her love, her strength, her values, and also for her lovingly homemade fried chicken and “Popeye” soup.

Beatrice is survived by her children, Rose Vanacore of FL, Judy Luscher and her husband, John, of AZ, Al Corsino and his wife, Donna, of Monroe, Angie Larson of Stratford, and Annette Corsino-Blair and her husband, Bruce, of CA; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her brothers, Fred Flores of FL and Alex Flores of TX; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Beatrice was predeceased by her siblings, Isaac, Ramon, George, Lillian, Grace, and Mando.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, and at 11 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford.

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home.

Masks are required in the funeral home and the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beatrice's memory to the Our Lady of Grace Church Memorial Fund, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, CT 06614.
