Obituary: Carlos E. Fuentes, 55, Of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home): Carlos E. Fuentes, beloved husband of Mirna Velasco Fuentes, passed away on February 13, 2021 at age 55 in Bridgeport Hospital.

Carlos was born in San Marcos, Guatemala on November 2nd 1965 to the late Vicente and Amparo Reyna Fuentes.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 33 years, include his devoted sons, Michael, Bryan and Keven Fuentes along with his fiancé Essel Sanchez and four cherished grandchildren; Michael, Vincent, Jayden and Olivia, a brother, Rocky Fuentes and sisters Rina and Judith Fuentes and several nieces and nephews.

He shared his passion for food and people as partner of Pasta Vera in Greenwich and was also co-owner of Two-Fold Laundry in Stratford.

Carlos enjoyed cheering on his grandsons who played for the Stratford Titans Baseball Team as well as creating memories with his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Family and friends are welcome to visit with the Fuentes family on Sunday, February 21st from 2:30-9:30 p.m. to honor Carlos in the Iglesia Pentecostal Olivar Church located at 510 Summit Street Bridgeport, CT.

A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. in the church, followed by interment at St. John’s Cemetery in Monroe. Everyone in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
