Obituary: Carmella M. Fawver, 82, of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Carmella M. Fawver, age 82, of Stratford, passed away on February 5, 2022, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford.

Carmella was born in the Bronx, New York on June 2, 1939 to the late John and Betty (Moschillo) Matarazzo and had been a lifelong area resident before moving to Palm Bay , Florida 14 years ago. Carmella was known to her family and friends as “Dolly”.

She was a graduate of Stratford High School class of 1957 and was a retired secretary for Schick Razor in Milford. She was an active member of the Senior Center of Palm Bay.

Dolly never met a stranger, she was an amazing cook, she was very proud of her Italian heritage and family always came first. She enjoyed crafts and ceramics and was adored by all who knew her.

Survivors include her devoted sons, Mark Fawver and his wife Gina, and John Fawver and his wife Theresa all of Stratford, daughter-in-law Heidi Fawver (Dicine), cherished grandchildren, Lisa Feld (Ryan), John Fawver, Stephanie Nemec, Russell Fawver and Amanda Fawver, and a great-grandson, Landon Feld.

In addition to her parents, Carmella was pre-deceased by her son, Russell Fawver, and brother, John Matarazzo.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, February 10th from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home. 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Masks are required, as visitors walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building due to covid restrictions.

Internment will be at St. John's Cemetery immediately following services.
