Obituary: Cecelia Mihalik, 97
Cecelia was a devoted caregiver and was always noted for her pleasing smile

Cecelia M. Blasko Mihalik age 97, of Stratford, the beloved wife of the late George A. Mihalik, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2013 in Cambridge Manor with her loving son by her side.
Cecelia was born on February 18, 1916 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Stephen C. and Barbara Katona Blasko.
Cecelia was a devoted caregiver to her brother Stephen and sister Mary in their final illnesses and was always noted for her pleasing smile, outgoing personality and wide range of friends and acquaintances whom she would invariably encounter when shopping or out to dinner.

She was a member and officer of the Holy Name of Jesus Ladies Guild and Holy Name of Jesus Seniors of which she was a founding member. She also enjoyed playing bingo and the occasional trip to the casino.
Cecelia is survived by her devoted son George S. Mihalik of Stratford, one niece, several nephews, and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband George, Cecelia was also predeceased five brothers George, Joseph, Stephen, William and Frank and two sisters Mary and Pauline.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 9 a.m. directly in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave., Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Andrew Marus.
Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main St., Stratford. The family would like to thank the staffs of Cambridge Manor and Constellation Hospice for their excellent care and thoughtfulness.
