Obituary: Douglas R. Rehm, 73, of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Douglas R. Rehm, age 73, of Stratford, passed away on March 12, 2022, in Hewitt Health and Rehab of Shelton.

Doug, or better known as “Dougie”, “Dub” or “Papa Doug”, was born in Bridgeport on December 25, 1948, to the late Frederick and Dorothy (Sattler) Rehm and had been a lifelong Stratford Resident. Doug was a graduate of Bunnell High School class of 1968 and was a retired mover for William B. Meyer Moving Co.

After his retirement Doug worked for Architectural Kitchen Design Company and drove a school bus for the Town of Stratford.

He loved being by the water, traveling, listening to music, attending concerts, working in his yard, and joking around with everyone. But most of all, loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching his sons the knowledge of life skills to conquer the world.

Rest in Peace Dad, you will never be forgotten, you were the best. Love you.

Survivors include his devoted sons, Josh Rehm and Michael Rehm and his wife Stefanie, his cherished grandchildren, Emily and Kaylin, the mother of his sons, Ora, brothers, William and John, sister, Nancy, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Doug was pre-deceased by his brother, Fred.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
