Obituary: Edward Anthony Meglio, 68, of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Edward Anthony Meglio, age 68 of Stratford, CT, passed away suddenly on April 7, 2021. He was the son of Alfred M and Laura Meglio of New Haven, CT.

He was brother to Jennie Mitchell Alfred R Meglio (dec), and Mary Jo Meglio of Branford, CT.

He was father to Nicholas Alexander of Massachusetts, Gabrielle Meglio of Texas and Rachel Meglio with whom he lived.

Ed was a graduate of Fairfield Preparatory School and the University of Detroit where he earned his B.S. Pre-Med.

Being a true son of the sixties, Ed believed in the healing properties of both eastern and western medicines.

An avid car enthusiast early on, then worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles until his retirement.

Ed was dedicated to his children and family and was always available to help or lend a hand. He walked a path true to himself. He was hardworking and resourceful.

Ed took great joy in celebrating holidays with his family over a big tray of lasagna and Italian cream pie.

A memorial and mass celebrating life will take place on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, 2110 Main Street, Stratford, CT.
