Obituary: Gertrude E. Arsenault, 86, of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Gertrude E. Arsenault, age 86, of Stratford, wife of the late Raymond J. Arsenault, Sr., passed away at home with her dedicated and loving family beside her on Monday, April 25, 2022.

Gertrude was born on September 26, 1935 in Glens Falls, NY, the daughter of Gladys Tennant.

She worked for Dictaphone and retired from Pitney Bowes.

She is survived by her children, Raymond J. Arsenault, Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Franklin, NH, Stephen L. Arsenault and wife, Mary, of Stratford, CT, Michael D. Arsenault and wife, Kelly, of Derry, NH, Cheryl A. DeSousa and husband, John, of Milford, CT, Lynn A. Gray of Manchester, NH, and Trudy J. Marino and husband, Richard, of Stratford, CT; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and awaiting the arrival of the 26th; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and family friends.

In addition to her husband, Raymond, Sr., she was predeceased by her son, Leslie A. Arsenault, son-in-law, Steve Grey, and her grandson, Freddie Brown.

The family would like to thank the team at Hartford Health Home Hospice for their continued support, love, and compassion during this difficult time. A special thank you goes to Rachel Arsenault for her loving care throughout Meme's illness.

Friends are invited to visit on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. A prayer service will follow at 4 p.m.
