Obituary: Louise Rizzo, 99, of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Louise Rizzo passed away peacefully on March 24, 2021.

She was 99 years old. Louise was born and raised in Shelton, Connecticut. She was a vivacious woman who loved games, jokes, and dancing, and had a flair for all things creative, including crocheting, tatting, painting, and crafting.

She enjoyed spending time with her family in and around her home in Stratford, Connecticut and with her friends in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Louise was predeceased by her loving husband, Ralph; her father and mother, Joseph and Louise; her beloved sister, Dorothy; and her half siblings, Alphonso, Ernest, Amelia, Anna, Louis, and Nancy.

She will be remembered with great fondness by her children, Anita D’Andrea and husband Joe, Patricia LaReau, and John Rizzo and wife Susan; her grandchildren, Anthony D’Andrea and wife Cindy, Joseph D’Andrea, Dean D’Andrea, Kara Bowers and husband Scott, and Jenna LaReau; her great-grandchildren, Elise, Kyle, Emmalyn, and Camden; and her many other adoring family members, neighbors, and friends.

The funeral services will be held privately at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Linus and St. James Church in Stratford.
