Obituary: Mary Ann (Olah) Podolak, 71, of Stratford

Mary Ann, a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, worked for many years as an x-ray technician and medical assistant locally.

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Mary Ann (Olah) Podolak, age 71, of Stratford, passed away on October 8, 2021, in her home surrounded by her family.

Mary Ann was born in New York City on November 10, 1949, to the late John and Anna (Velas) Olah and had been a lifelong area resident.

Growing up in Bridgeport, CT she attended school at Saint Cyril & Methodius grammar school (1963) and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fairfield (1967).

Mary Ann earned her associate degree from Bridgeport Hospital School of Radiology and worked for many years as an X-Ray Technician and Medical Assistant for Immediate Medical Care of Monroe and Med Now, Stratford, recently retiring from both.

She was an avid reader, loved her Wheel of Fortune, and TV murder mysteries.

She is survived by her devoted children, Jason Podolak and partner Jeni Orr of Oregon, Jonathan Podolak and partner Christine Swiatek of Monroe, and Brittany Podolak and husband Niall Griffin of Stratford, a cherished granddaughter, Morgan Anna Griffin, a sister, Lillian Baron and husband George of Southbury, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved cats Milo and Riley.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was pre-deceased by her son Drew Podolak and ex-husband Robert Podolak.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 15th at 11 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford.

Everyone in attendance must follow the COVID 19 guidelines, wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Internment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford.
