Norma Jean Harriman, 87, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Clarence A. Harriman Jr., passed away on May 17, 2025.

Norma Jean Harriman, 87, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Clarence A. Harriman Jr., passed away on May 17, 2025. Norma was born on January 17, 1938, in Romulus, New York. She was the daughter of George Updyke and Mary Ester Chrisfield.

Norma was the beloved professional matriarch of the Harriman family, leading her family with bountiful affection and love with her radiantly positive personality. She enjoyed sharing her love for adventure and boundless creativity to those around her. She loved to explore all that nature had to offer, traveling up and down the east coast boating and fishing with her friends and family, and enjoyed quiet moments relaxing under shady trees near her homes in both Florida and Maine. Norma found peace in the art of crocheting, a skill she was quite proud of.

Norma is survived by her children Maryellen Harriman, Lori Jean Harriman, and Randy (and wife Jackie) Harriman. She is also survived by beloved grandchildren, Logan Harriman, Courtney Kiernan, Lauran Harriman, Hailee Harriman, Josh Harriman, Brian Harriman, Jr., and Kyle Cowan. She also is survived by her three great grandchildren, Joseph, Scarlett, and Kaia. She was predeceased by sons and daughter, Arthur III, Brian, Terri, David, and Stephen. She was also predeceased by her grandchildren Kevin Harriman and Walter Joseph Kiernan.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. Interment will follow at King's Highway Cemetery, 371 Cherry Street, Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
