Obituary: Walter A. Radziwill, 98, formerly of Stratford

Walt, known for his kindness, wisdom and voice, was a proud U.S. Navy WWII veteran and loving and devoted family man.

STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Walter A. Radziwill, 98, of Atco, NJ, longtime resident of Stratford, CT went home to the Lord on April 13, 2022.

We celebrate his joy in being reunited with his beloved wife of 66 years, Mildred "Mitzi" Liptak.

Loving father of Walter J. (Denise); adored grandfather of Christopher, Brian (Erica), Elise Marie (Phil), and Matthew. Great-grandfather of Julian and Luca.

Also survived by niece, Janet Varza.

Predeceased by parents, Frank and Amelia (Zabielska); brother, Henry; and sister, Regina Tolubinski.

Walt proudly served in the Navy during WWII; enjoyed duckpin bowling, bocce, and singing in his beautiful voice.

His greatest achievement was his family with whom he shared his kindness, wisdom, and life experiences.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 9:15 am at Holy Name of Jesus Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Entombment to follow at St. Michael Garden Mausoleum.
