Obituary: William S. Laros, 80, of Stratford

Bill, a proud and devoted family man, was a retired guidance counselor and math teacher for the town of Trumbull at Hillcrest Middle School.

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) William S. Laros, age 80, of Stratford, beloved husband of Patricia Lampart Laros, passed away on June 21, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital.

Bill was born in Bridgeport on August 4, 1941, to the late Stanley S. Laros and Evangeline (Zorzy) Fernandes. Prior to moving to Stratford in 2020, Bill and Pat resided in Monroe for over 50 years.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University, his master’s degree from Fairfield University, and his Sixth Year Certificate from Southern Connecticut State University.

He was a retired guidance counselor and math teacher for the town of Trumbull at Hillcrest Middle School.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife, Patricia of 59 years, include his devoted sons, William Laros of WI, David Laros and his wife Torrie of Newtown, and Patrick Laros and his wife Marisa of Stratford, nine cherished grandchildren, Adelaide, Chaney, Ellie Cate, Zachary, Jacob, Benjamin, Dominic, Tessa, and William, brothers, Michael Laros (Jaydene) of IN, Jason Laros (Carol) of VA, sisters, Marion Laros of Newington, and Victoria Vaughn of CA, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Bill mostly loved spending his time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren – and if there was a party, Bill wanted to be at it.

A lifelong Yankees, Giants, and UConn basketball fan, Bill also enjoyed time with friends on the links.

Friends and family may visit on Monday, June 27th from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 28th at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
