Porter and Chester Institute Hosts Donation Events for Bridgeport Rescue Mission
The school is accepting donations of canned food, coats and warm clothing, and items for Bedtime Bags.

STRATFORD, CT - Porter and Chester Institute – Stratford Stratford is hosting three donation events over the next month to benefit the Bridgeport Rescue Mission. The school is currently accepting a wide list of non-perishable food items for its Canned Food Drive, including cereal, coffee, sugar, creamer, ramen noodles, pasta, sauce, rice, canned soup, fruit, vegetables and more.
For its Coat & Clothing Drive, the school is accepting winter coats, hats, scarves and socks with a goal of reaching 50 donated items by December 9.

Porter and Chester Institute – Stratford is also seeking Bedtime Bags. These bags are each filled with a book, small stuffed animal, children’s toothbrush and toothpaste, and washcloth with mild soap.
The Bridgeport Rescue Mission aims to fight poverty from the inside out as they embrace the urban poor and addicted; offering hope and healing for a changed life.

Items are accepted now through December 9th, 2016, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
