Ralph C. Call, 73 of Milford, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025

A U.S. Army veteran with 28 years of experience, Ralph was a loving husband, father and grandfather who never missed a Detroit sports game.

Ralph C. Call, 73 of Milford, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family. Ralph was born April 28, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Jean Call. Ralph was the beloved husband of 44 years to Diana L. Call.

Ralph was immensely proud of his 28 years of service in the U.S. Army, where he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant and served as Military Police. During his time in the service, he formed lifelong bonds with the men and women he worked alongside, staying connected with them throughout the years. Ralph was a proud member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 251. After retiring from the military, Ralph worked as a truck driver and devoted himself to his family.

A loyal Detroit sports fan, Ralph rarely missed a game, and he loved relaxing with a classic John Wayne movie. He was known for his warm, personable nature and lived by his belief that “no one is a stranger, just a friend he hadn’t met yet.” A true jokester, Ralph carried his wit, humor, and positivity through every stage of life, even as he faced health challenges. To his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Papa” and “Bompa,” Ralph was ever-present, always offering his love, encouragement, and laughter.
