Smoke Shop Investigation Leads To 3 Arrests: Stratford Police

Three men were arrested following an investigation into "illegal activity" at a smoke shop in Stratford, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — Three men were arrested following an investigation into “illegal activity” at a smoke shop in Stratford, according to police.

The Stratford Narcotics and Vice Unit began investigating the S & T Smoke Shop at 562 Honeyspot Road in May, according to Capt. Jerry Pinto.

Pinto said the investigation was held in conjunction with several other agencies, including the Bridgeport DEA Task Force, the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the State of Connecticut Department of Revenue Services.

“These agencies’ participation was instrumental in identifying the criminal activity taking place at the S & T Smoke Shop,” Pinto wrote in a news release.

The investigation resulted in the following arrests:

Scott Marsillo, 31, was charged with sale of a controlled non-narcotic substance. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond.

Raian Baniyounes, 35, was charged with two counts of illegal sale/distribution of cannabis or a cannabis product and two counts of conspiracy to sell/distribute cannabis or a cannabis product.

Brion Henry Jr., 22, was charged with four counts of illegal possession with intent to sell cannabis/cannabis products and conspiracy to sell cannabis/cannabis products.
