Stratford 4th Of July Fireworks 2025 Details Announced

Officials announce parking and new traffic patterns that will be in effect for the fireworks display.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford’s 2025 Independence Day Fireworks display will be held Wednesday, July 2 at Short Beach.

The display will begin at sundown, approximately 9 p.m. The rain date will be Monday, July 7.

The Stratford Fireworks are sponsored by IBEW Local 488.

Officials have announced a hotline for the annual Independence Day fireworks display. For the most up-to-date event details, including weather or traffic updates, residents are encouraged to call the Stratford Fireworks Hotline at 203-380-6757.

Parking and Access:

Parking will be available at Short Beach Park. All day on July 2 (July 7, rain date), you must have a Stratford resident sticker, affixed to your windshield, to enter Short Beach Park. If you are a Stratford resident and do not have a current Stratford resident parking sticker, there is still time. Visit here for more information. Plan to arrive early and follow all guidance from Town personnel regarding parking and safety.

Traffic Advisory – Lordship Boulevard Closure:

Please note that Lordship Boulevard (also known as Burma Road), in front of Sikorsky Memorial Airport, will be closed to all vehicle traffic.

Due to this closure, heavier-than-normal traffic conditions are anticipated on Main Street. In particular, extended delays are expected for Lordship residents and others attempting to enter the Lordship area after the fireworks event. We strongly advise all residents and visitors to plan accordingly and allow extra travel time. Traffic is expected to impacted from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • Golf Carts are not permitted at Short Beach Park after 4pm. For more information, visit here.
  • Pets are not allowed on Town beaches May through October.
  • Bicycles must be walked through beach property.
  • The wearing of full-face masks, such as ski masks, is prohibited.
