Stratford School Board To Pay $500K In Settlement With Ex-Superintendent: Report
The Stratford school board reached a settlement agreement with former Superintendent Uyi Osunde to end a discrimination lawsuit.
STRATFORD, CT — Former Stratford Superintendent of Schools Uyi Osunde will receive payments totaling $500,000 as part of the settlement agreement with the Board of Education to end a discrimination lawsuit he filed last April, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Post reports the board agreed to payments of $120,000 to cover lawyer fees, $190,000 in severance, and $190,000 in compensation “for alleged emotional distress,” with the funds being covered by the district’s insurance provider.
