Stratford Elementary School Principal Resigns Effectively Immediately: Reports
Stratford Public Schools has an immediate opening for an interim elementary school principal.
STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford elementary school has an immediate opening for a new principal after a resignation on Monday, according to multiple reports.
News12 Connecticut reports Daniel Hicks resigned “effective immediately” as principal of Second Hill Lane Elementary School in Stratford.
Hicks wrote in his resignation letter that he decided to leave "after much consideration" and was stepping down in "order to spend more time with my family and pursue a new opportunity to help lead non-profit work that I began several years go," according to the Connecticut Post.

Stratford Public Schools posted an immediate job opening for an interim principal on Dec. 8.
“Stratford Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Interim Principal for Second Hill Lane Elementary School, a vibrant K–6 learning community that also houses one of the district’s Dual Language Programs,” the job posting reads. “We are looking for a collaborative, equity-driven leader who will foster a positive school climate, support high-quality instruction, and build strong partnerships with staff, families, and the community.”
