Stratford EMS Members Honored For ‘Exceptional, Lifesaving Care’
Several Stratford EMS members were honored for their lifesaving care in the field, including delivering babies, according to officials.
STRATFORD, CT — Several members of Stratford Emergency Medical Services (SEMS) were recognized Monday by Saint Vincent’s Medical Center for “delivering exceptional, lifesaving care in the field—when it mattered most,” according to officials.
Paramedic Justin Feliciano, EMT Robert Scukas, and Paramedic Supervisor Jack Rodican were honored for their “outstanding care of a mother and baby during the field delivery of a baby boy,” according to a post on the Stratford EMS Facebook page.
EMT Josh Wittenberger and EMT Abigail Clark were recognized for their “compassionate, skilled care during the field delivery of a baby girl,” according to officials.

Paramedic Joseph Rotunda and EMT Victoria Warner were recognized for their “exceptional care of a STEMI patient, contributing to a positive, life-changing outcome.”
“These moments are why we do what we do—skill, compassion, teamwork, and calm under pressure, all before the hospital doors ever open,” the post reads. “To our award recipients: thank you for representing Stratford EMS with excellence. And to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center—thank you for recognizing the lifesaving work happening in our community every day.”
