Stratford Gun Collector's Association Hosts Two-Day Gun Show in Orange

Firearms will not be allowed on the premises overnight after selectmen sparked concern over gun safety.

A two-day gun show hosted by the Stratford Gun Collector’s Association was approved by the Board of Selectmen to be held at High Plains Community Center in Orange to benefit American Legion Post 127, the New Haven Register reported.

No firearms are permitted to be left in the building over night.

A firearms exhibit, sales of firearms — only those that are legal — and lecture sessions will take place at the show, the Register reported. A local police presence as well as 5 to 7 Connecticut State Police troopers disguised in plain clothes will assure security and adherence to gun laws throughout the event.
