Charlie is a dedicated environmental steward, athlete, and leader with a strong commitment to service and community. For his Eagle Scout project, he led two key conservation efforts: restoring coastal dunes by installing and repairing sand fencing to reduce erosion and protect the neighborhood, and building and installing 21 bird nesting boxes to support migratory songbird populations. He also monitored and cleaned these boxes over several weeks, ensuring their effectiveness in providing safe habitats for birds. These projects demonstrate Charlie’s passion for habitat preservation and wildlife protection. Beyond his project work, Charlie is certified as a Leave No Trace Level One Trainer, enabling him to educate others on responsible outdoor ethics to minimize human impact on natural environments. He is currently pursuing the Boy Scouts of America’s Distinguished Conservation Service Award, a prestigious recognition of his ongoing dedication to environmental stewardship. In addition to his scouting accomplishments, Charlie is a versatile varsity athlete, competing in golf, wrestling, and serving as a goalie on the lacrosse team. His involvement in sports reflects his discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills, which complement his community and environmental efforts. Charlie’s achievements in scouting, athletics, and conservation showcase his well-rounded character, leadership, and dedication to making a positive difference in both his local community and the natural world.
