Stratford Resident Wins $20,000 With Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket

The lucky was sold in Shelton, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

STRATFORD, CT — An unnamed Stratford resident is $20,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased in Shelton, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Friday, the person claimed a winning 20X Cash 9th Edition ticket that was bought at the Wheels gas station on Old Stratford Road.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $20 per ticket, began in October 2023, and as of Tuesday, 15 grand prizes of $20,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 2.8 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.08.
